Katie Aguilar

Katie Aguilar joins the CTK staff with gratitude for the opportunity to serve its community as a Pastoral Associate. When it comes to her relationship with Jesus and understanding of the Church, Katie believes that the love of God is intended for all people and the Church is to be a vehicle of that love for the world. After completing Bachelor's Degrees in Theology and Catechetics from the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Katie served as a Youth and Young Adult Ministry Leader at St. Louis Parish in the Archdiocese of Baltimore for five years. She later completed a Masters in Church Ministries from the Ecumenical Institute of Baltimore where she explored pastoral practices within Church contexts and dialogues within Christian Theology

"No matter where my 'Church career' brings me, I remain rooted in the reality that initially compelled me to dedicate my life to the Gospel: that Jesus' love is life-changing and life-giving. I approach my role at Christ the King with humility to be entering a new parish family and with enthusiasm for the work that is to come. I am confident that the Holy Spirit has big things in store!"

A Maryland native, Katie bid farewell to the East Coast in order to serve the Diocese of Dallas in the Office of Youth, Young Adult, and Campus Ministries, where she has been for the past three and a half years. Katie met her husband, Carlos, upon moving to Texas. They married in July 2020 and live in Plano. She is now in the midst of completing an MBA in Family Enterprises and Entrepreneurship from LSU Shreveport, with hopes of contributing a new understanding of leadership and innovation to her work in the Church.
